At a glance

  • Prefer recognised public-health agencies, regulators and medicine information.
  • Show source links and an update date on substantive articles.
  • Make uncertainty and medicine-specific differences clear.
  • Do not claim clinical review unless it has actually happened.

Evidence and scope

We prioritise NHS, NICE, CDC, WHO, ECDC, MedlinePlus, medicine leaflets and regulators. For former AIDA project history, we refer to European Commission CORDIS and published research. We do not treat an old project plan as proof of a clinical outcome.

We paraphrase for readability and link to original sources rather than copying protected articles, images or PDF documents.

Medical review and updates

Articles on this site currently do not claim a named clinician or formal medical review. The “Updated” date indicates a content edit, not independent clinical approval. We aim to revisit pages when key guidance changes and make substantial corrections directly in the affected article.

When a statement seems inaccurate or a source link has changed, we update the affected page directly.

What our content does not do

We do not recommend a specific antibiotic based on symptoms, give personal dosing, or advise anyone to stop or change a prescribed treatment. Our medicine pages discuss general mechanisms, uses and cautions; decisions belong with the reader’s qualified healthcare professional.
